Our History:

The Crossing was started in the summer of 2004. Founded by Randy Lee, the basic vision was to provide a place for worship and service. The first few services were held at Leroy Springs Complex, before moving to an office/warehouse space in the Fort Mill area. While at the property on Barberville Road, the ministry began to grow in its vision and purpose. The Crossing found itself ministering to not to only the Fort Mill area, but also began reaching out to other parts of the world. We have now been involved in sending financial support and goods to inner city ministries in the US, South America, Nigeria, and other parts of the world. Another very important aspect of our ministry began to flourish as well. Blessed with great talent, and hearts for worship, the worship team and music department began writing and performing its own original worship songs. It became clear that God was not only going to use this music locally, but He was also going to use the music He had blessed us with to touch the world. We are continuing to focus on our worship and music, and allow God to lead us in the development of many different areas of influence. After considering whether or not to purchase the property on Barberville Road, we decided to purchase a piece of property closer to the town of Fort Mill. This 8 acre piece of property on Doby’s Bridge Road now houses the administrative offices, as well as classrooms, and rehearsal areas for our music ministry. Once the purchase of that property was complete, we began to use the Leroy Springs Complex again. We then met at Narroway Theatre here in Fort Mill for about 9 months.
We have since moved into our newest facility. It is located on the corner of Doby’s Bridge Rd. and Whites Rd. in Fort Mill. This facility affords us the opportunity to have weekly meetings for adults and children. Equipped with a very nice children’s facility and a very comfortable sanctuary for the adults, this facility is helping us provide ministry for the Fort Mill area as we had always desired. We are in negotiations now with the owners with the intention on purchasing this property as well. We have met many challenges, and we have had many victories, all pointing us to a great future. Our his-tory is truly “His-story”. It is the foundation on which God will build an awesome ministry for His kingdom.
